Mrs. Elena Veliz, 78, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 15, 2016.

She is preceded in death by her husband Ramiro Veliz, Sr., and son Leopoldo Veliz.

She is survived by her children, Maria de Jesus (Roberto) Reyes, Ramiro (Amelia) Veliz, Jr., Jose (Maria) Veliz, Maria Elena (Ricardo) Rangel, Javier (Gricelda) Veliz, Arnold (Deborah) Veliz, Vicky (Robert) Ibarra, George (Endina) Veliz; daughter-in-law, Margarita Veliz; sisters, Petra Valadez, and Elida Valadez. She is also survived by 32 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, and other loving relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels, 719 Loring at Cortez from 5 to 9 in the evening. A Rosary will be recited at 7 in the evening.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 18, 2016 departing the funeral home at 8:30 a.m. to San Vicente de Paul Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
