Eduardo Vasquez

Mr. Eduardo Vasquez, 66, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Thursday, September 5, 2024. Eduardo was a hardworking man who dedicated his profession to maintenance in the Parks and Recreation industry for the City of Laredo. Throughout his life, Eduardo found joy in the simplicity of dancing cumbias, a passion that filled his days with laughter and rhythm. His positive demeanor, friendly nature, and willingness to lend a helping hand endeared him to all who knew him. These qualities, coupled with his love for his family and the joy he found in fishing excursions, painted a picture of a man who cherished the simple joys that life had to offer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Claudio y Pilar Margarita Vasquez; his brothers, Guillermo Vasquez and Pedro Vasquez.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Erika Vasquez, Janellie Vasquez, Esmeralda Vasquez, Claudia Vasquez, Pilar Vasquez, and Eduardo Bautista Vasquez; 4 grandchildren, Jane, Hernan, Mariela, and Rodrigo; his siblings, Maria Dolores (Eduardo) Lopez, Maria de los Angeles (Erasmo) Estevane, Delia (Heriberto) Rodriguez, Rafael Vasquez, Jorge (Dora) Vasquez, Rosalinda (Oscar) Palacios, Alicia Flores (Ruben Lasso), and Laura (Jose Juan) Duarte. He is also survived by other loving relatives and friends. 

The family will be receiving condolences on Tuesday evening, September 10, 2024 from 5pm to 9pm at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels, 719 Loring at Cortez.  A Rosary will be recited at 7pm.

A private cremation will be held at a later date.
