Eduardo "Wayo" Valdez October 14, 1953-October 1, 2015 Eduardo Valdez, 61, was called home to our heavenly father on Thursday, October 1, 2015. Wayo was born and raised in Laredo, Texas. He was employed with Webb County under Justice of the Peace Hector Liendo. Wayo enjoyed ranching and golfing with his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his father Higinio Valdez, Sr.; his brother Higinio Valdez, Jr.; and his aunts, Aurora Chamberlain and Hortencia V. Speed. He is survived by his mother Bertha P. Valdez; his wife Sandra C. Valdez; his children, Eduardo (Joanne) Valdez, II, Adriana (Marc) Zac; mother of his children, Dora E. Camero; stepchildren, Natalie, Kassandra, Fernando, Frank Lopez; siblings, Bertha A. (Max) Zapata, Diana (Rodolfo) Laurel, Jr., Roberto L. (Cordelia) Valdez; cousin Javier V. Speed; three grandchildren, nine step-grandchildren. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends. His family would like to thank Dr. Arturo Garza-Gongora and his staff. Visitation will be held Friday, October 2, 2015 at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels, 719 Loring at Cortez from 5 to 9 in the evening. A Rosary will be held at 7 in the evening. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 3, 2015 departing the funeral home at 9:40 a.m. to Christ the King Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Laredo City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Higinio Valdez III, Roberto Valdez, Jr., Rudy Laurel III, Albert Laurel, Daniel Laurel, Max Zapata, Jr. and Pablo Castro. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Judge Hector Liendo, Jaime Madrigal, Wayne Garcia, Marc Zac, and Omar Tijerina.
