Edgar Gonzales

Edgar Gonzales, 63, entered into eternal rest on Monday, May 8, 2017 with his family by his side.

Edgar was a very caring and cheerful person who had a heart of gold and an adorable smile. He worked for the Laredo Independent School District in the ITV Department for 25 years where everybody knew him as “Eddie” until he retired in 2007.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Odilia Gonzales and his brother Andres Rene Gonzales.

Left to cherish his memory are brothers David (Melba) Gonzales and Robert Ray (Darlene) Gonzales; sister-in-law Betty Rodriguez-Gonzales; nieces Victoria Nicole Gonzales, Amanda Rae Gonzales, Leslie Ann (Randy) Elizondo and Cristina Elizabeth Gonzales; nephews David Anthony (Monique Martinez) Gonzalez and Andres Rene Jr. (Sarah) Gonzales; grand nieces Emma Sophia Elizondo and Emma Nicole Rangel and grand nephew Evan Elizondo; his long time companion Esterre Dominguez and his beloved relatives and friends.

The family would like to thank his health providers Dr. Selina Stuart and her staff, the LMC Infusion Center and the 4th floor nurses and staff of Doctor’s Hospital.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2017 from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels, 719 Loring at Cortez.

A Holy mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday morning, May 12, 2017 at Christ the King Catholic Church. The family requests that everyone meet at the church.

A private burial will take place at a later date.
