Dr. Yolanda Mata Rios

Dr. Yolanda Mata Rios, beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother, was welcomed into our Lord’s heavenly kingdom on Monday, December 19, 2022, at the age of 77.

Always devoted to her family, she loved her family and friends deeply and was a very generous woman. She was hardworking and determined and accomplished all of her life goals. She loved life and lived each day to the fullest. She inspired many, and her legacy will live on through her family and friends.

She was preceded in passing by: her parents, Celestino and Romana G. Mata; sister, Delia Reina; and brother, Celestino Mata, Jr.

Left to cherish her beautiful memory are her beloved husband, Gilberto Rios; loving children, Gilberto (Aida) Rios, Jr. and Aryana (Alfredo) Rios Espinoza; and adored grandchildren, Paula Isabella, Gilberto III, and Francisco Andres. She is further survived by her siblings, Rosalinda Mata-Contreras (Virgilio Soto) and Mario Mata (Diane); and brother-in-law, Robert Roland Reina; as well as by numerous nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and friends.

The family will be receiving condolences on Monday evening, December 26, 2022, from 5 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels & Cremation Services, 1410 Jacaman Rd.; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 6:30 p.m.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday morning, December 27, 2022, departing at 8:30 a.m. from Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels to St. John Neumann Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9 a.m.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Gilberto Rios, Jr., Gilberto Rios, III., Francisco Andres Rios, Alfredo Espinoza, Mario Mata, and Francisco Cardenas.
