Dora Texas

Dora S. Rodriguez has entered into eternal rest on Saturday December 24, 2016, surrounded by her family. She was 95 years old.

Dora was born on July 28, 1921 to Jose A. Salinas and Marianna Guzman Salinas in Laredo, TX where she was raised. Dora was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jose A. Salinas, Marianna Guzman Salinas; her siblings, Jose A. Salinas Jr., Ernesto Salinas, and Jorge A. Salinas Sr.; husband, Federico Rodriguez and daughter Rebecca M. Aguilar.

Dora is survived by her loving children, Federico Rodriguez Jr., Cynthia (Rafael) Gonzalez, Dora (Peter) Medellin, and Sandra (Armando) Sauceda, son-in-law Jorge L. Aguilar; grandchildren, Jessica Rodriguez, Kendra (Adam) Arambula, Anesa (Michael) Biviano, Peter Medellin Jr., Ivan (Diana) Medellin, Gabriel Medellin, Shemin Sauceda, Joshua Sauceda, Amanda (Joey) Sanchez, Ashlee Aguilar, and Andrew Aguilar; great grandchildren, Virgilio, Andrew, Cohen Michael, Casen Beckett, Joaquin Cruz, Avery Jo, Jon Anthony; siblings, Elsie S. Ridgeway, Robert (Irma) Salinas, Sister-in-law Olga T. Salinas; other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

The family would like to thank Dr. Luis Benavides, Nurses on Wheels Home Health & Hospice, and recent caregivers. Also a special thanks to Peter Medellin for his love, care and patience.

Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels, 1410 Jacaman Rd. where service will commence at 11:15 a.m.

Funeral procession will depart immediately following the services to interment at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Gabriel Medellin, Peter Medellin Jr., Ivan Medellin, Adam Arambula, Michael Biviano, Joshua Sauceda, and Andrew Aguilar.
