Dolores Cadena

Dolores P. Cadena, 92, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Friday, December 31, 2021.

Dolores lived a fulfilling life, in Laredo Texas, where she was born, married and passed.  She was one of 7 children born to Enrique and Herminia Paredes.

Dolores was a proud Martin High School graduate; she is respectfully well-known for her accomplishments in her banking career.  In 1966, she began a lifetime commitment to the employees and countless customers of International Bank of Commerce in Laredo, Texas.  In her capacity, she climbed up the corporate ladder from bookkeeper to Assistant Vice President, and was recognized for her willingness to help others. Dolores was also a proud member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas.

She was preceded in passing by her beloved husband, Arnoldo Melchor Cadena, who she married on February 15, 1953.

Left to cherish her memory are her children; Patricia Cadena Villarreal, Arnoldo (Josephina) Cadena, Jr., Priscilla (Pete) Cadena Ferden, Armando (Bertila) Cadena, 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She will forever be loved, admired, and respected by her family, friends and loved ones.

Visitation will be held on Thursday morning, January 06, 2021 from 8 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels, 1410 Jacaman Rd. Procession will depart at 10:45 a.m. from Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels to St. Patrick Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
