DIANA TREVIÑO GARCIA
November 12, 1950- May 3, 2023
Diana Treviño Garcia departed this world on May 3, 2023, joyfully and peacefully surrounded by her family.
Diana was a graduate of Ursuline Academy and the University of Texas in Austin. She was a U.S. Customs Broker & CPA and served as CFO for her family’s businesses.
Diana was preceded in passing by her parents, J.C. “Pepe” Treviño, Jr. and Rose Tarver Treviño; and by her son-in-law, Nathan “Nate” Lipscomb. She is survived by her beloved husband, Ricardo Garcia; and her three daughters, Rosanna (Nate †) Lipscomb, Marissa (Marvin) Fuentes, and Sara Veronica Garcia; as well as her grandchildren, Jackson and Mateo Lipscomb and Joaquin and Camila Fuentes. She is also survived by her sister, Annie Treviño and her four brothers, J.C. “Pepe” Treviño, III (Adrienne), Roberto “Beto” Treviño (Priscilla), Guillermo “Memo” Treviño (Tammy), and Carlos “Kiko” Treviño (Selina).
The family is grateful for the constant and devoted care provided by Diana’s caregivers, Maria Cuevas, Yolanda Cuevas, Orfalinda Lozano, Juana Rodriguez, and Celia Morales; and for her spiritual guides, Sister Rosemary Welsh, Sister María Teresa, Hermana Rosa Margarita Bejarano Ramos, and Father Juan Mercado.
The family would also like to thank the medical staff of Altus Hospice, especially nurse Marqui Ramirez, the office of Dr. Benson Huang, and her sister-in-law, Nurse Practitioner Tammy M. Treviño. Additionally, a special abrazo for her lifetime friend, Elena Holloway.
Most of all, the family would like to thank Diana’s sister, Annie, who retired from teaching to care for Diana after her ALS diagnosis. They feel beyond blessed to have Annie in their lives and are immensely grateful for the special time Annie has spent with Diana over the last five years.
The family will be receiving condolences on Friday, May 5, 2023 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels & Cremation Services, 1410 Jacaman Rd. A Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 7 p.m.
Funeral Services and Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Everyone in attendance is asked to please meet at church. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Guillermo “Memo” Treviño, Federico “Kiko” Treviño, Roberto “Beto” Treviño, José Carlos “Pepe” Treviño, III, Marvin Fuentes, Carlos A. Zúñiga, Jr., and Fernando García.
