Diana Rodriguez

Diana S. Rodriguez entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at the age of 56 in Laredo, Texas. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Ms. Rodriguez bravely battled cancer for 20 years with determination, courage, strength, faith and hope.-She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.-
She was preceded in death by her father, Juan M. Solis and sister, Virginia Medellin.-
Ms. Rodriguez is survived by her daughters, Marisa A. Rangel and Celina (Juan) Gonzalez, her grandchildren, Miguel A. Rangel II, Matthew A. Rangel, and Juan Antonio Gonzalez, her mother, Teresa D. Solis, her sisters, Juanita (Joseph) Soliz, Sylvia N. (Sam, Jr.) Brewster, Elia (Orlando) Rios, Adriana (Enrique) Degollado, and Sandra Solis,-brothers, Manuel D. (Gloria) Solis, Javier (Elena) Solis, Juan G. Solis, and Ruben (Marina) Solis, her nieces, Lauren Soliz, Teresa Brewster, Jennifer Brewster, Cassandra Rios, Monica Medellin, Cynthia Medellin, Maritza Arriaga, Jackie Vela, Alisa Solis, and Lorena Solis, nephews, Michael Soliz, Christopher-Brewster, Orlando Rios, Jr., Francisco Medellin, Manuel Solis, Jr., Jonathan Solis, Noe Solis, Aaron Solis, David Degollado, Danny Degollado, Evan Degollado,-Mark Vela, and Ruben M. Solis, 8 grand nieces and nephews.-Ms. Rodriguez is also survived by many special cousins, particularly Cornelio and Lydia Flores, Selinda V. Garcia, and Nancy Cardwell.
The family would like to express a very special thank you to Yolanda Barco, Selinda M. Garcia, Betty Mendoza, Mrs. Gloria Garza, Maria Ramos, Mr. and Mrs. Manuel Gonzalez and daughter Margie. To all her-medical staff that demonstrated outstanding care and kindness, especially Dr. E. Miranda, Dr. M. Oronoz, Dr. J. Gomez Vasquez, Dr. M. Jovel, and to all the nurses and staff at Doctors Hospital Cancer Center, namely, Sandra, Lorna, and Norma;-and Laredo Medical Center ICU,-2nd and 3rd floors.
Visitation will be held Thursday, July 14, 2011 at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels, 1410 Jacaman Road from 5 to 9 in the evening.-A Rosary will be recited at 7 in the evening.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, July 15, 2011 at San Martin de Porres Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m.-Cortege will depart at 8:30 a.m. from Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels.
Interment will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
