Desiree Michelle Cavazos, 19, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Tuesday, May 31, 2022.  Desiree, also known as Desi, was a wonderful daughter, sister, niece, friend, and dog mom.

Desi was a kind soul that brightened up any room that she was in.  She loved deeply and fiercely.  With her passing, she leaves a huge emptiness in the hearts of all of us who loved her. 

She was preceded in death by her maternal great-grandparents: Maria del Socorro Rodriguez, Faustino Rodriguez, Juan Rodriguez, and Maria Guadalupe Mendoza de Rodriguez.

Left to cherish her memory are her parents: Rosa Nelly Rodriguez and Hector Davila; brothers: Kenneth Cavazos, III, Jayden Davila, and Raiden Davila; grandparents: Felix Rodriguez and Manuela Rodriguez; aunts, Martha Rodriguez and Vivianna Rodriguez; uncles, Felix (Mari Carmen) Rodriguez, Jr., Vicente (Melissa) Rodriguez, Jr., Victor (Lizette) Rodriguez, Vidal (Daisy) Rodriguez; extended family members, as well as by numerous friends, and acquaintances.  Left to also cherish her memory is her father, Kenneth Cavazos, Jr. and grandfather, Kenneth (Marysol) Cavazos, Sr.

The family will be receiving condolences on Friday evening, June 3, 2022 from 5pm to 9pm Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services, 719 Loring at Cortez.; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 7 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday morning, June 4, 2022 departing at 9:45 a.m. from Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels to St. Joseph Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:15 a.m.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Laredo City Cemetery.

**The family kindly asks that white or baby blue attire be worn on Saturday, June 4, 2022.**

Pallbearers will be:  Hector Davila, Felix Rodriguez, Felix Rodriguez, Jr., Gerardo Rodriguez, Vicente Rodriguez, Vicente Rodriguez, Jr., Victor Rodriguez, and Vidal Rodriguez. 

The family would like to extend their most heartfelt gratitude to all the families and friends that have reached out to us and joined us during this very difficult time.  We wholeheartedly appreciate every single one of you and know that Desi would be very happy to know how many people loved her.
