DEREK JONATHAN CAMBRON

September 14, 2005 – February 11, 2018

Derek Jonathan Cambron, 12, entered into the presence of the Almighty on February 11, 2018 at his residence in Rio Bravo, Texas.

Derek Jonathan Cambron was an amazing brother, son, and grandson. He spent his short life bringing joy to all those he crossed paths with; whether they were loving family, friends, or complete strangers. Even at his young age, we could all learn something about living through looking at how Derek lived life. He lived his life with a sense of curiosity, adventure, and compassion that was unparalleled and unique especially for someone so young but it's what drew everyone towards him. This is a child that was going to accomplish anything he set his mind to and accomplished so much in so little time. He will forever be missed, loved, and will always hold a place in the hearts of those he touched.

He is survived by his mother, Sahara Marie Cambron; father, Antonio Angulo; sister, Lyla Marie Angulo; maternal grandparents, Ruby Jane Cambron and Pedro Cambron; paternal grandmother, Margarita Arredondo; uncle, Juan Pedro (Aileen Cabral) Cambron; and cousins, Brendan A. Cambron and Kaylee I. Cambron. He is further survived by numerous other loved relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2018 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapel, 1410 Jacaman Rd. A Rosary and Vigil for the Deceased will commence at 7 p.m.

Funeral procession will depart on Friday, February 16, 2018 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to Santa Rita Casia Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.

Interment will then follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
