Dene Uribe

Dene Lulu Uribe, 83, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 23, 2021. Her family and friends called her Lulu, and her grandchildren affectionately called her “Mamu” and “Capa.” Mrs. Uribe was a loving and affectionate mother and grandmother, and her family and friends could always count on her for great advice, conversation, a good laugh or to be cheered up. She was a retired educator who worked with special needs children with the Laredo Independent School District for 39 years.

Ms. Uribe was preceded in death by her parents: Tomas Victor Hinojosa and Librada Perez Hinojosa; husband: Joel Cesar Uribe; brother: Tomás Ricardo Hinojosa; and sister: Alma R. Ramirez.

She is survived by her children: daughter, Mireya Uribe Warren (Rouland) and son, Derly (Cindy) Uribe; and grandchildren; Zachary A. Warren, Alyssa R. Uribe, Ruben D. Uribe, and Victor S. Uribe. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.

The Uribe Family thanks: Dr. Jose Roel Maldonado and his staff and also gives special thanks to caregiver, Ms. Claudia Marin who provided tireless, constant, and tender care and attention for many years.

The family will be receiving condolences on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 from 8 to 10:40 a.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels & Cremation Services, 1410 Jacaman Rd.; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 9:30 a.m.

Funeral procession will depart at 10:40 a.m. toward San Martin de Porres Catholic Church where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m.

Rite of Committal and Interment will be held at a later date.
