DELIA PENA

October 10, 1943 – July 19, 2020

Delia Pena, 76, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Sunday, July 19, 2020.

Delia was born in San Antonio, Texas but was a resident of Laredo all her life.

A dedicated wife, mother and grandmother, Delia loved to spend time with her husband, and cherished every moment with him. Delia also had a passion for cooking and enjoyed cooking for her whole family.

She was preceded in death by her parents Enrique Perez, Julia Perez, Ana Lopez; her siblings Ramiro, Enrique Jr., Rosa Mendez, Juanita Rodriguez, and Patricia Quintana.

Left to cherish her beloved memory is her loving husband, Lauro Pena of 54 years; her children Leticia (Victor) Fuentes,  Lourdes (Juan) De Luna,  Lauro Jr. (Susana) Pena,  Luis (Claudia Yvette) Pena; her brother Javier (Eva) Perez; sister Nora  (Ricardo) Salas; her grandchildren Lizzete Soliz,  Raul Soliz Jr., Jonathan Ruiz, Juan E. De Luna Jr., Kayla Pena, Micah Pena, Viannei De Luna,  Jacob Tovar, Gwen Pena, Jenelle Tovar, Arianna Pena, Jenna Pena; and her great- grandchild  Anthony Ruiz. Also surviving her are numerous nephews, nieces, relatives and many friends that she dearly loved.

The family will be having Private Services due to Covid-19 on Wednesday morning, September 16, 2020 from 8 a.m. to 9am at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapel, 719 Loring at Cortez.

The family would like to extend their most heartfelt gratitude to:  Laredo Medical Center ICU Dept. for the care that our beloved mother received.  Thank you.
