Delia Garza

Delia Garza, 100, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Friday, August 9, 2024. 

 A devoted Catholic, dedicated patriot, and loving family member, dedicated her life to serving her faith, country, and loved ones.

 Delia, was a founding member of the Blue Army and spent 25 years as a secretary at the Laredo Air Force Base, supporting the commander in chief. Despite her busy schedule, she always made time for her family, especially caring for her mother, sibling, nieces, and nephews. Demonstrating her selfless and compassionate nature.

 Her unwavering faith in God, love for her country, and commitment to her family were evident in everything she did. She instilled these values in her family, teaching them the importance of faith, patriotism, and the bonds of family.

 She was preceded in death by her parents, Pablo and Felipa Garza; brothers, Daniel Garza and Vicente Daniel Garza; sisters, Sara Garza, Eloisa Garza, Trinidad G (Jesus) Garza, Angelica (Juan C) Gomez, and Victoriana (Santiago) Garcia Sr.

 Left to cherish her memory is her sisters, Alicia († Ernesto) Molina Sr., (Jesus) Garza, Angelica (Juan C); brother-in-law, retired Chief Master Sargent Emilio F. († Virginia) Serrano; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and friends.

 The family will be receiving condolences on Tuesday evening, August 13, 2024 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels & Cremation Services, 1410 Jacaman Rd.; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 7 p.m.

 Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday morning, August 14, 2024 from 10:00am to 11:00am at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. 

 Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
