Delia Cruz

After a long battle with Alzheimer’s, Delia Santa Cruz, 81 went to be with the Lord Wednesday, July 11, 2018.

Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy. She always gave everyone unconditional love, even in the midst of her battle. Her smile was a ray of sunshine. She will forever be remembered for her grace, kindness, strength, energy, and for having a big heart. These are just a few of her many qualities.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eloy Santa Cruz; parents, Esteban and Julia Flores; and daughters, Norma S.C. Sarmiento and Claudia Delia Santa Cruz.

Mrs. Santa Cruz is survived by her children: Eloy (Rosario) Santa Cruz, Sr., Diana R. (Joe) Tapia, Linda M. Santa Cruz, Esperanza (Tony) Contreras, Sr., and Martin Santa Cruz; son-in-law, Pedro Sarmiento; her grandchildren: Sophia (Niky) Mosconi, Ruben (Adriana) Coe, Claudia Villarreal, Tony Contreras, Jr., Andres Contreras, Eloy Santa Cruz, Jr., and Julissa Sarmiento; and her great-granddaughter, Addison Coe.

The family will be receiving condolences on Sunday evening, July 15, 2018 from 4 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels & Cremation Services, 1410 Jacaman Rd.; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 7 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday morning, July 16, 2018 departing at 8 a.m. from Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels to San Luis Rey Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 8:30 a.m.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the family plot in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
