David Velasquez, 47, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, August 09, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. He was a kind and simple man with a great heart who loved to fish. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left behind to keep his memory alive are his daughter, Briana Kristine Velasquez; his parents, Vidal and Genoveva Velasquez; siblings, Vidal (Elizabeth) Velasquez, Ruben (Pamela) Velasquez, Oscar (Christine) Velasquez, Mario Velasquez, Monica Velasquez; as well as by his lifelong companion, Bedelia Lopez. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other loved relatives and friends.

The family will be receiving condolences on Friday evening, August 11, 2017 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels & Cremation Services, 1410 Jacaman Rd.; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 7 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday morning, August 12, 2017 departing at 9:30 a.m. from Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels to St. John Neumann Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.

Rite of Committal and interment will follow at the family plot in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
