He is preceded in death by his mother, Lucila Contreras; paternal grandparents:-Francisco and Agustina Contreras; maternal grandparents:-Amelia and Rafael Garcia.

Surviving him are his father:-David Contreras, Sr.; siblings:-Lucille Contreras, Grizelda (Miguel) Delgado, Benjamin (Gloria) Contreras and Cordelia R. Contreras; nieces and nephews:-Mike, Marco, Alex and David Robert Delgado, Benjamin Contreras, Jr., and Zuriel Contreras.
