Cruz Martinez

"Semper Fi"

Mr. Cruz Martinez, originally from Laredo Texas, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family after a short illness in Dallas, Texas where he resided for almost 40 years.-He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Mr. Martinez served in the U.S. Marine Corps. from 1973-1975 in the Southeast Asia area during the Vietnam era.-After completion of his tour of duty, he was honorably discharged. The words he proudly lived by were, "Once a marine, always a marine."-

He was preceded in death by his older brother, Juan M. Martinez.

He is survived by his loving parents: Julian and Julia Martinez; siblings: Julian (Deborah) Martinez, Jr., Elvira Martinez, Yolanda (Carlos) Martinez, Rosalinda Valadez, Jose Luis Martinez, and Leticia Martinez.-He is also survived by numerous cousins, nephews, nieces, extended family members, also including his long time friend, Patricio Perez, along with his other close friends, James Birdsong, Noe Zuniga, and Joel Lucio.
