CONSUELO M. FLORES MAY 26, 1919 - JULY 26, 2015 Consuelo Flores passed away on July 26, 2015 in San Antonio, Texas from heart failure. She was 96. Mrs. Flores was born on May 26, 1919 in Ft. Worth, Texas to her parents, Alfredo and Juanita Martinez. She moved to Laredo, Texas as a young girl. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dolores 'Lolo' Flores. Mr. Flores was drafted into the United States Army to serve in World War II. He was killed in action on November 8, 1944. A devout Catholic, Mrs. Flores was a founding member of Holy Family Catholic Church. A great source of joy was her work with the Church's Altar Boy program, which allowed her to form numerous lifelong relationships. She is survived by her daughters, Maria Consuelo "Connie" Burrows and Virginia "Vicki" Babiak; sister Adela Gonzalez; nephew Alex Gonzalez; niece Judith Warner; son-in-law Javier Babiak; former son-in-law Bill Burrows; grandchildren, Eric Burrows and his wife Jennifer; Lenic Babiak, Alan Burrows and Leslie Jacobi and her husband Jason; and great-grandchildren, Pierce Burrows, Ava Ramirez, Sophie Burrows and Desmond Jacobi. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels, 719 Loring at Cortez. A Rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 30, 2015 departing the funeral home at 8:30 a.m. to Holy Family Catholic Church for a Mass at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
