Carmen Torres

Mrs. Carmen Hernandez Torres, 85, entered into the arms of her Heavenly father, comforted by her faith and the prayers of all who loved her on Sunday, June 27, 2021.

Carmen devoted her earthly career to International Bank of Commerce for over 38 years, having retired in 2011 after many faithful years of service.  She was a woman of great faith who always held near and dear to her faith even after any trial or tribulation.  Her memory will live on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and the generations to come.

She is preceded in death by her husband:  Rodolfo Torres Jr.; parents: Antonio Hernandez and Gregoria Flores (Andres) Parra; siblings:  Eloisa Hernandez and nephew: Raul Banda Jr.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her children:  Sylvia (Jorge) Rosales, Carmen Lopez, Rodolfo Torres, III, Elsa Elia (Armando) Guzman, Andres (Annette) Torres, Antonio (Laura) Torres; 19 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; brother: Jose Antonio (Sarah) Hernandez, as well as numerous extended family members and friends.

The family will receive condolences on Thursday, July 1, 2021 from 4 until 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral & Cremation Services, 1410 Jacaman Rd., where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will be offered at 7 p.m.

Funeral procession will depart the chapel at 10:20 a.m. on Friday, July 2, 2021 to San Luis Rey Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11 a.m.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Laredo City Cemetery—Veteran’s Section.

Pallbearers will be: Rodolfo Torres III, Andres Torres, Antonio Torres, Rodolfo Torres IV, Victor Rosales, Juan Antonio Lopez Jr., Roberto Andres Garcia, Antonio Torres II.
