Carlota Contreras

Mrs. Carlota Estela Contreras, 66, passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2018 in Laredo, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her father, Santiago Montemayor.

She is survived by her loving husband, Juan Manuel Contreras; her mother, Maria de la Luz Montemayor; her children, Violeta (Gerardo) Gonzalez, Dr. Roberto J. Flores; step-daughter, Donna Mae Contreras; grandchildren, Gerardo, Jr., Hailey M., and Joselyn E. Gonzalez. Also surviving her are her brothers and sister, Jose Santiago (Gloria) Montemayor, Monico (Ana Maria) Montemayor, Rene Montemayor of San Antonio, Texas, Erick (Rosalva) Montemayor of Fort Worth, Texas, Rosa E. (Eduardo) Lopez of Nuevo Laredo, Tamps., Mexico, Jorge (Laura) Montemayor; her in-laws, Celia (Armando) Tijerina of Dallas, Texas, Felipe (Betty) Contreras of Laredo, Texas, and Clara Luz Contreras of Laredo, Texas. She is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, and other loving relatives and friends.

The family wishes to thank Altus Hospice for all the attention and care given to Mrs. Carlota E. Contreras during her illness. Also to Dr. Adonis Zuniga-Goldwater.

Visitation will be held Monday, April 23, 2018, at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels, 719 Loring at Cortez, from 5 to 9 in the evening; with a Rosary at 7 in the evening.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 24, 2018, departing the funeral home at 9:40 a.m. to Christ the King Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m.

Pallbearers will be: Dr. Roberto J. Flores, Gerardo Gonzalez, Jr., Jorge Montemayor, Jorge A. Montemayor, Ricardo Montemayor, Eduardo S. Lopez, and Alonzo Lopez.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
