Carlos Texas Jr.

Carlos Javier Puente Jr. of Laredo, 49, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 25, surrounded by his loving family. He was an all-around sportsman, but he was especially passionate about American football. Carlos graduated Class of 1987 from Martin High School. He also received a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Fitness and Sports from Texas A & M International University. His lifelong dream was to be a trainer. Carlos will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Carlos Javier Puente Sr.

Carlos is survived by his beloved mother, Maria Elma G. Puente; his siblings, Elia P. (Isidro) Alaniz, Elma P. (Daniel) Juarez; nieces and nephews, Isidro R. Alaniz Jr., Ivan R. Alaniz, Victoria A. Alaniz, Camille Juarez, and Chloe N. Juarez. He is further survived by numerous other loved relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 30, 2017, from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapel, 1410 Jacaman Rd.

The funeral procession will then depart at 10:30 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Patrick Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m.

Interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
