CARLOS “CHUCK” ANTONIO GONZALEZ

June 05, 1969 – August 12, 2017

Carlos “Chuck” Antonio Gonzalez entered eternal rest at the age of 48 on Saturday, August 12, 2017.

Carlos was born in Laredo, Texas June 5, 1969 and was preceded in death by his father, Enrique Anastacio Gonzalez; mother, Rosario E. Gonzalez; and mother in law, Maria Idalia Cerda.

Carlos attended Mary Help of Christians School and graduated from J. W. Nixon High School in 1987. He was a proud Aggie, graduating from Texas A & M University, College Station with a bachelor degree in business administration 1995.

Carlos wed the love of his life, Claudia Judith Cerda, on April 25, 1998 at San Agustin Cathedral in Laredo, Texas. He was selfless and devoted to his children Carlos Antonio Gonzalez Jr., Carolina Judith Gonzalez and his wife and best friend Claudia.

Carlos worked as a Field Technology Officer at the Laredo Border Patrol Office of Homeland Security for 19 years until his passing.

Carlos was deeply devoted to Christ our Lord through Jesus Divine Mercy, The Most Holy Rosary and demonstrated his love for God as an active member of the Roman Catholic parish of San Martín de Porres in Laredo, Texas. He was involved with the ACTS Community, serving as a team member for both Mens ACTS at Blessed Sacrament Church and Teen ACTS at San Martín de Porres Church.

Carlos passionately believed in order to serve his faith community and friends, you must first serve your family. It wasn't unusual to find him down on his hands and knees to playing and rolling around with his children, nieces and nephews. He had a great sense of humor, a quick wit, the gift of laughter. His smile was infectious and his spirit full of life and love. There is nothing he wouldn't do for his family, friends and those in need.

He leaves behind his loving wife and best friend, Claudia Judith Gonzalez; his son Carlos Antonio Gonzalez, Jr.; daughter, Carolina Judith Gonzalez; sister, Rosario G. (Luis A.) Elizondo; brothers, Enrique Eduardo Gonzalez (Gary Anderson), David Jose (Margaret) Gonzalez, Daniel Martin Gonzalez; father in law, Manuel Cerda; sister in law, Anel C (Sergio) Rodriguez; nieces and nephews; Christina L.
