CARLOS GUADALUPE GARZA APRIL 29, 1923 - OCTOBER 31, 2015 Mr. Carlos G. Garza was called by Our Lord on Saturday, October 31, 2015. He was born in Laredo on April 29, 1923. He was a World War II Army Air Force Veteran. He taught for over 40 years at several LISD Elementary schools. He was an Assistant Principal at Martin High School and Principal at C.L. Milton, Heights, and D.D. Hachar Elementary Schools. He also worked at U.S. Immigration and Customs for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Guadalupe Garza, five sisters and four brothers. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Maria Teresa Garza; children: Dr. Carlos (Eileen) Garza, Roberto Garza, Guillermo Garza, Dr. Olivia (Jesse) Wood, and Patricia (Peter) Quiones; granddaughter: Sarah Garza; as well as by numerous nieces, nephews, other beloved relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 06, 2015 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels, 719 Loring at Cortez, Laredo, Texas 78040; where a Vigil and Rosary will commence at 7 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted on Saturday morning, November 07, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. The funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the family plot in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Military Honors will be provided by the US Air Force Honor Guard. Pallbearers will be: Raul Palacios, Gabriel Palacios, Philip Cavazos, Roberto Garza, Peter Quiones, and Carlos Garza.
