CAMILO V. TREVIÑO
May 19, 1961 – April 28, 2017
Camilo V. Treviño, 55, passed away Friday, April 28, 2017, at MD Anderson Hospital in Houston with his family by his side.
He fought a courageous battle with cancer for over 5 ½ years and never lost faith, hope, optimism, or his smile. He could light up a room with his sense of humor. He loved music, RVing, barbequing, traveling, playing practical jokes, and spoiling his little Pomeranian and companion, Lilly. He was very proud of serving his country through his military service in the US Air Force from 1985 to 1992. While in the Air Force, he completed a Bachelor of Technology Degree from Peru State College in Nebraska.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Faustina G. Treviño and his father, Candelario V. Treviño.
He was a loving husband to his wife, Jane Treviño for over 28 years and a wonderful father to his daughter, Abbie Treviño and to his son, Matthew Treviño. He leaves behind his siblings, Candelario (Guadalupe) Treviño Jr., Candelario (Adela) Treviño II, Vidal (Sarah) Treviño, Martin Treviño, Delfino (Yvonne) Treviño, Angie (Ezequiel Chavez) Treviño and many nieces and nephews. He is further survived by his mother and father-in-law Jack and Johanna Huey and sisters-in-law, Jennifer Huey, Julie (Matt) Misek, and Jill (Dave) Miller.
The family will be receiving condolences on Thursday evening, May 04, 2017 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services, 1410 Jacaman Rd.; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 7 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday morning, May 05, 2017 departing at 9 a.m. from Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels to Divine Mercy Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. Military Honors will be presented after Mass by the US Air Force Honor Guard.
Pallbearers will be: Matthew Treviño, Vidal Treviño, Martin Treviño, Candelario Treviño Jr., Candelario Treviño II, Ricardo Hernandez, Gerardo Villarreal, and Ezequiel “Juan” Chavez.
Honorary pallbearers will be: James Navarro and Delfino Treviño.
Services will conclude after Mass, his inurnment will be held at a later date.
