Boye Texas Jr.

Boye Pedersen, Jr., age 57, passed away at home on Monday, September 26, 2016 of natural causes.

Boye grew up in Laredo. He graduated from Martin High School where he played in the high school band, “La Banda de Animo!” He attended LJC and Laredo State University.

He had a successful career in sales. Boye worked at McDuff where he was recognized as being a top seller. His customers always asked for him by name. After McDuff closed he worked at Sears, in the electronics department where he also excelled in sales.

He is preceded in death by his mother Librada G. Pedersen; his grandparents, Mr. Jose Gonzalez and Baciliza Gonzalez Cozad. He is also preceded in death by his uncle Isidro Carrillo; and his uncle and aunt, Sergio and Eloisa G. Laurel.

Boye is survived by his aunt Gloria G. (Isidro+) Carrillo; his brother Anthony Pedersen; his sister Judy P. (Mark) Garza; loving grandniece and grandnephews, Maritza (Rick) Benavides (children, Ricky and Lily), Marcos Garza, Jr., and Christopher Garza; also numerous cousins and friends. He is also survived by his father, and other relatives in Denmark.

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 29, 2016 from 5 to 8pm at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels, 719 Loring at Cortez; with a Rosary at 7pm.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 30, 2016 at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. We ask everyone to please meet at the church.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
