Blanca Aurora Sandoval, age 90, went to go be with the Lord our God on Sunday, June 4, 2023. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her three children. She was born to Ricardo and Luz H. Villarreal in October of 1933. She married Ernesto Sandoval in September of 1954 and had three children.

Blanca was a smart business woman who opened a small store and grew it to where it became a neighborhood staple. Every evening neighbors would gather in front of the store for a conversation between friends. That took place for years.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Ernesto Sandoval; her sisters, Elida Salas and Velia Cantu, and her brother Ricardo Villarreal.

Left to cherish her memory and celebrate her life are her three children, Alma (Jesus) Saldivar, Martha and Pedro Bustamante, and Ernesto Sandoval, Jr.; grandchildren, Jessica Lynn Saldivar and Richard Saldivar, and four loving great grandchildren.

The family will be receiving condolences on Wednesday morning, June 7, 2023 from 7:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services, 719 Loring at Cortez.

The funeral procession will depart from Joe Jackson Heights at 10:40 a.m. to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Laredo City Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband, Ernesto Sandoval.
