Bertha was preceded in death by her husband Oscar J. Garcia Sr., parents Manuel and Josephina de la Garza, siblings Sara de la Garza Brunner, Manuel (Maria Luisa) de la Garza, Carlos (Sarita) de la Garza, Alfonso "Poncho" de la Garza, Luis de la Garza, Roberto Garcia, Eulalia Morris, Antonio Molina, and Alfonso Herrera.

She is survived by her children Oscar J. Garcia, Jr., Yolanda (Roberto) Teresa "Terry"" Adams, Ricardo A. (Amanda L.) Garcia, Angie Garcia, grandchildren Gabriel Andrew, Richelle Denise, Caesar Andres,
Roman Andres Garcia, brothers Mario (Gabriela) de la Garza, Jorge O. (Imelda) de la Garza, brothers and sisters-in-law Ninfa de la Garza, Gloria de la Garza, Guadalupe Herrera, Melida Molina, Olivia Garcia, Archie Morris, , and.-She is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, and other relatives.
