Bertha Enriqueta Cabrera, 88, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2010.-

Mrs. Cabrera was a longtime teacher at St. Peter's Memorial School where she also worked as the Church's secretary. Bertha was a devoted server in the St. Ann's Altar Society Club. Her tender spirit will be greatly missed.

Bertha was preceded in death by her husband, Pedro Cabrera, III; her parents, Jose E. and Viola Ramon; her brothers, Ricardo (Zulema) and Eduardo Ramon; great-granddaughters,-Sabrina Jude Gutierrez and Anakaren Arce; brother and sister-in-law, Ignacio (Mercedes) Gonzalez.

She is survived by her beloved daughters, Cynthia (Cesar) Cantu of Laredo, TX and Maria de Lourdes (Hector) Diaz of San Antonio, TX; son, Peter (Elvira) Cabrera, IV of Laredo, TX; grandchildren, Michelle C. (Alfredo) Arce, Marcus (Cordelia) Cantu, Yvonne (Rick) Diaz Gutierrez, Valeria Diaz, Jeremiah (Cristina), Izvette , Sabrina, and Anthwan Peter Cabrera; great-grandchildren, Hugo and Lauren Alfaro, Patricio and Camila Cantu, Ali and Gigi Gutierrez and Cassandra Cabrera; sisters-in-law, Maria Isabel Cabrera, Maria de Refugio Gonzalez, Jack (Clara) Carpenter of Lantana, Florida, and Mrs. Eduardo Ramon; brother-in-law, Luis (Doris) Cabrera of Las Cruses, New Mexico,-as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

The family extends their utmost gratitude to: Dr. Luis Benavides & Staff, Nurses on Wheels (Margarita, Maru, Dora, Mari, Leo, Carlos), and especially to her caregiver Julia Diaz Ruiz. "Thank you for all the love, attention, and patience you rendered to our beloved mother during her time of need."
