BENIGNO JUAN MARTINEZ August 06, 1944 - October 02, 2015 Benigno J. Martinez, 71, was born on August 06, 1944 and entered into eternal rest on Friday, October 02, 2015. He married Tomasa G. Martinez and was employed by the Laredo Police Department. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his beloved wife, Tomasa G. Martinez; sister, Alicia M. (Lucio) Covarrubias; sister-in-law, Diana G. Ruiz; brother-in-law, Eduardo Garcia, Jr.; nieces, Jackeline Garcia, Aida Covarrubias, and Theresa C. (Rodolfo) Rodriguez; as well as by nephews, Juan, Leo, Luis, Paul Covarrubias, and Lucio Covarrubias, Jr. The family will be receiving condolences on Sunday evening, October 04, 2015 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels, 1410 Jacaman Rd. where a Vigil for the Deceased & Rosary will commence at 7 p.m. Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday morning, October 05, 2015 at San Martin de Porres Catholic Church. Mass times remain pending. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the family plot in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
