Belia Ruiz

Mrs. Belia Rodriguez Ruiz, passed away Monday, Dec. 23, 2013 in San Antonio, Texas, after a short battle with cancer. She was 77 years of age at the time of her passing, having recently celebrated her birthday. Mrs. Ruiz was a retired nurse with over 30 years of service helping and caring for others. She will be greatly missed. Special thanks to Dr. Dennis Cantu, Dr. Rafael Deliz, Dr. Arthur Santos, Laredo Medical Center, and the medical staff and attending physicians at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, TX Mrs. Ruiz is preceded in death by parents, Teodoro and Amelia Rodriguez, sisters Melba Collazo, and Ana Maria Tovar. Mrs. Ruiz is survived by her husband Leopoldo Ruiz Jr.; children Rodrigo (Vadelmina), Patricia Lee (Steven) Furbacher, Anna Laura, Rogelio Francisco, Roberto Leonides, Ricardo Rafael and step children Leopoldo (Carmen), Teresa (Luis+), Dora (Jose), Elma (+Clemente), Eduardo Wayo (Cindy), Rosario (Ramiro), Jesus (Monica), Gabriel (Melissa), and Juan Leopoldo. She is also survived by her sister Elisa Burgos (+Alberto), brother and sister in law: Jose Manuel and Rosario as well as by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. The family will receive condolences the evening of Friday the 27th of December 2013 from 5 to 9 in the evening with a recitation of the holy Rosary at 7 in the Chapel of Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels, 1410 Jacaman Rd. Funeral procession will depart the chapel the morning of Saturday the 28th of December 2013 at 8 in the morning to San Luis Rey Catholic Church for a funeral Mass scheduled to begin at 8:30 in the morning. All services will conclude at the church. Cremation will be held at a later date.
