Aurora S. de Anda, 94, passed into the hands of her Lord on October 7, 2016. She was surrounded by her children and grandchildren, and guided by the Blessed Mother on the final and peaceful moments of her life.
Aurora was a descendent of Spanish settlers along the Texas border region. She was predeceased by her father Rodolfo Sandoval who was born in Roma, and her mother Manuela Martinez from San Ygnacio.
Aurora was an inspiration to her children and to her grandchildren, who were covered by her love. Her family was her life, and like many mothers and grandmothers of her generation, the world is a better place because of her love. She will be missed.
She was preceded in death by the father of her children Juvencio de Anda & her parents Alejo Sandoval Peña & Manuela Martinez Pruneda Sandoval; siblings: Rodolfo, Alejo & Raul Sandoval, Melida (Alvaro) Moreno & Manuela (Rafael) Gallo.
Mrs. de Anda leaves a lasting memory with: her son Ricardo (Rosa Maria) de Anda and their daughter Raquel; her daughter Edna (Federico) de Anda Peña and their children: Federico "Kiko" (Graciela), Rebecca (Bryan) Narvaez & Analisa (Austin) Green; her son Javier (Nancy) de Anda and their children: Monica (Burdette) Huffman, Melissa (Micah) Jones, Sarah (Darrell) Stiles & Catherine de Anda; her daughter Nora (William) Alexander and their children Jeffrey, Tiffany & Christine; her daughter Grace (David) Edgar and their :children David & Derek; her son Jaime (Lorena) de Anda and their children Juvencio de Anda, Elias Salinas & Jennya Macias. She is further survived by her 13 great-grandchildren; siblings: Angela (Celestino) Arriaga & Ofelia (Roberto) Vela.
The family will receive condolences on Sunday the 9th of October 2016 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels, 1410 Jacaman Rd. A Rosary will commence at 7 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday the 10th of October 2016 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church at 9:00 a.m., with Rev. Msgr. James Harris as the celebrant. We ask everyone to meet at the church, there will be no procession from the funeral home.
Entombment will follow to the Mausoleum in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Ricardo de Anda, Javier de Anda, Jaime de Anda, Federico "Kiko" Peña, David Edgar Sr., David Edgar Jr. & Jeffrey Alexander.
