Aurora Herbeck Moore, 85, passed away on Saturday morning, September 23, 2003 after a long illness. 

 

She was a graduate of Martin High School. During her teen years she worked at La Fons Pharmacy, later she became head cashier for Casso, Guerra up until 2005. She then worked at Mona M. Jewelry until 2016. She was an avid bowler for over 40 years. As well as an avid bowler, she loved to sing, she sang for many years with the Laredo Philharmonic Chorale, she sang in several musicals including South Pacific. She traveled to New York with LPC and performed at Carnagie Hall. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters and served as Regent from 2014 to 2016 before retiring. She loved to travel; she was always up for a trip.

 

She was predeceased in death by her husband of 22 years, William Joseph Moore, her parents, Hugo Herbeck, Aurora (Garcia) Herbeck, her sister, Hilda Herbeck, her brothers, Daniel Herbeck and Julian Herbeck.

 

She is survived by her brother Hugo Herbeck, of San Antonio, as well as many nieces and nephews. 

 

The family will be receiving condolences on Thursday evening, September 28, 2023 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels & Cremation Services, 719 N. Loring at Cortez.; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 7 p.m.

 

Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday morning, September 29, 2023 at St. Joseph Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:30 a.m.  Everyone is encouraged to meet at church.

 

A private cremation will be held at a later date.
