Arturo Navarro, Jr

Arturo Navarro Jr.,60, went to be with our Heavenly Father on Friday, March 19, 2021. He went peacefully surrounded by his loving family. He will forever be remembered as a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. He spent his time on earth making memories with his wife and children, devoting 37 years as an ER/Oncology/Medical surgical nurse at Laredo Medical Center while also doing 25 years (tenure) teaching nurse assistant/vocational nursing students at Laredo College. His smile, laughter, and warmness will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents Arturo and Maria del Refugio Navarro.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 38 years Lupita M. Navarro; children Valerie M. (Patrick) Montana, Vanessa M. Navarro, Victoria M. Navarro, and Arturo Navarro III, granddaughter; Olivia Grace Montana. His siblings; Anita Kilgore, Alejandro (Teresa) Rodríguez, Alda B (Álvaro) Lucio, Emilio Navarro, and Paulita (Ricardo) Pena. As well as many other loved relatives and friends.

The family will be receiving condolences on Thursday evening, March 25, 2021 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services, 1410 Jacaman Rd.; where a Prayer Service will commence at 7 p.m.

A Chapel Service will be held on Friday morning, March 26, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels.

Interment will follow at the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

We the family would like to extend our gratitude to all the medical staff at Laredo Medical Center especially the 5C staff, ER, and ICU. A special thank you to his friend and PCP Dr. Arturo Garza-Gongora and his office staff as well as for Dr. Ricardo Cigarroa. Also, to the medical staff at Methodist Heart Failure Clinic thank you for your kindness and dedication.
