Armandina Tijerina

Our wonderful and most loved mother, Mrs. Armandina R. Tijerina, age 92, left us to be with her heavenly father on May 30, 2012.

She passed on peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family and friends. She left a legacy of eternal love and peace amongst us all and will forever live in our hearts. We will always love her and will miss her tremendously but know that she is in a much better place and surrounded by her heavenly family that she loved and missed so much.

Our mother was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years Manuel Z. Tijerina, daughter Victoria Mendoza, her parents Rita and Juan Rodriguez, her sisters Leonor Gomez, Ofelia Villarreal, Angelina Paez, Brothers Hector and Isaac Rodriguez, grandchildren Juan Manuel Tijerina-Jr., Ely Tijerina Jr., and Brianna Tijerina.

She is survived by her daughter Sylvia (Teodoro) Cuellar Jr., sons Juan Manuel (Francis) Tijerina, Ely (Mildred) Tijerina, and Orlando (Edna) Tijerina. She is survived by her brother Daniel (Sofia) Rodriguez and her brother-in-law Raul Villarreal. Mrs. Tijerina also leaves behind 18 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Our family's thanks go to our special compadre and friend Dr. Milton Haber and his staff as well as the entire staff of Global Nursing. Our special thanks-go to our friend Deacon Joe Longoria and his wife Sylvia for all of their help and support. We would also like to thank-her special friend and constant caretaker Maria (Nedi) Magdalena Zamora.

Pallbearers will be: Eduardo Mendoza Jr., Gabriel Mendoza, Orlando Tijerina Jr., Joseph M. Tijerina, Omar Tijerina, Derick Tijerina, Teodoro Antonio Cuellar, and Vicente Jasso.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Rosie Cuellar Laurel, Cordelia Tijerina, Nora Longwell, Melissa Mendoza, Jessica Cano, Harvey Cano, Anya Tijerina, and Lizette T. Jasso.
