Apolonio Casarez, 93, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Wednesday, February 5, 2025.
Born and raised with strong values, Apolonio was a devout Catholic who found strength in his faith. He was known for his loving, warm nature, always ready to offer a helping hand or a kind word to those in need. His ability to connect with others, coupled with his compassionate spirit, made him a cherished presence in his community. He was very proud of his accomplishments instilling in his daughters that hard work pays off.
For over 45 years, Apolonio dedicated his career to the Laredo Independent School District (LISD) as a Child Nutrition Program Manager. He was passionate about providing healthy meals to students and worked tirelessly to ensure that children received the nourishment they needed. His dedication to the program touched countless lives, and he was admired by colleagues and students alike for his commitment to service.
Outside of his professional life, Apolonio was an avid lover of the outdoors. He cherished the quiet solitude of nature and found peace in hunting; a pastime that brought him closer to the land he loved. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends, always eager to share a laugh, a story, or simply enjoy a meal together.
