ANTONIO MARTINEZ, JR.

October 15, 1929 - January 30, 2016

Antonio Martinez, Jr., 86, entered into the arms of the heavenly father on Saturday, January 30, 2016 in San Antonio, Texas.

He married Ms. Bertha Martinez and together had many wonderful and loving years of marriage until her passing in November 2012. He proudly served his country during the Korean Conflict in the United States Army.

He is survived by his children: Diana B. Rodriguez, Antonio Martinez Jr., Danilo E. (Enedelia) Martinez, Raymundo E. (Martha) Martinez, Jorge H. (Noralba) Martinez; grandchildren: Mario (Ana) Vela, Ray (Jahaira) Rodriguez, Linda Rodriguez (Hector), Melissa Rodriguez (Devin), Danilo E. Martinez Jr., Erika G. Martinez, Daileen M. Martinez, Raymond (Marisa) Martinez, Esteban G. Martinez, Christopher A. Martinez, Jorge H. Martinez Jr., Mia Martinez; great-grandchildren: Brandon Roy Rodriguez, Owen Alexander Pescador, Mariana Santos Vela, Devin Garcia Jr., Penelope Olivia-Rose Martinez and one surviving sister- Laura Martinez (Genaro +) viuda de Sanchez as well as numerous nieces nephews, other beloved relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 02, 2016 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson Funeral Chapels; 1410 Jacaman Rd. A Rosary will commence at 7 p.m.

Funeral procession will depart on Wednesday, February 03, 2016 from the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. to Christ the King Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.

Interment with Military Honors will then follow to the Laredo City Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Antonio Martinez Jr., Danilo Martinez, Raymundo Martinez, Jorge Martinez, Mario Vela, Raymond Martinez, Jorge Martinez Jr., Danilo Martinez Jr., Esteban Martinez, Christopher Martinez, and Ray Rodriguez.
