Antonia Minerva Jasso was born on May 30, 1937 to the union of Noe and Carolina Sanchez in Laredo, TX.  She departed this life peacefully on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 8, 2022 at her resident of 53 years.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend.  Mrs. Jasso enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives and friends; along with her numerous turtles and her beloved dog.  She also enjoyed playing loteria with all her good friends. She leaves behind countless memories that will forever live on in the hearts and minds of her beloved family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Noe and Carolina Sanchez, husband, Enrique Jasso, Sr., her sons, Enrique Jasso Jr. and Ricardo Roel Jasso.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, J. Edna (Zenon) Cadena, Lydia Gamboa, Jose A. Jasso and Maria D. Rivera and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will be receiving condolences on Wednesday evening, May 11, 2022 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services, 719 Loring at Cortez.; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 7 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday morning, May 12, 2022 departing at 10:00 a.m. from Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels to San Vicente de Paul Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Saul Dueñez III, Enrique N. Jasso, Jose R. Jasso, Alfredo M. Jasso, Gabriel L. Gamboa, David J. Jasso, Hector Peña Jr. and Sonny J. Peña.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Gilbert Gamboa, Ricardo R. Jasso, Jose A. Jasso, Mark A. Peña,  Zenon Cadena, and Alejandro Sanchez.

The family would like to extend their most heartfelt gratitude to: Altus Hospice and Alpha Primary Care.
