Ann Ukenye-Lawal

With gratitude to God for a life well spent, we announce the passing unto glory of our friend, sister, mother, colleague, and wife Mrs. Ann Chinyere Ukenye-Lawal, RPH, fondly called "Chichi" on Thursday, December 01, 2011 at the Doctor's Hospital of Laredo after a brief illness. She was 53 years old.

Chichi was a crusader of the underprivileged and only recently opened an orphanage in her home town Umuanya in Uniahia-Nigeria.-She also built a farm for the widows in the same village providing some form of income for these women. She had a Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from Howard University, Washington, DC in 1988.-She had a Master's Degree in Public Health Administration (MPH), Business Administration (MBA) and Marketing in 1995, 1996, 1997, respectively.-Until her death, she was a PhD. Student at the University of Phoenix.-She was co-owner (with her husband)of Amerihealth Pharmacy located on 1901 Frees Street in Laredo, TX.

Chichi is survived by her husband:-Mr. Wale Lawal, five children and her aged father, Elder Ezekiel Ukenye.

She will be truly missed.-Rest in Peace, Chichi.-We shall meet again at the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.
