Anita Guerra

Anita J. Guerra, 65, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Monday, April 13, 2020.  Born and raised in Laredo, Anita was a Martin HS graduate class of 1973 and after working for more than 25 years with the Texas Health and Human Services Commission she retired in 2014.  Anita was a loving and dedicated mother, who was also loved by many and will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Jesus (Isabel) Jimenez, brothers: Rodolfo “Popo” and Jesus “Nene” Jimenez.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Roxanne Guerra, Jesus “JJ” (Melissa) Guerra, Elizabeth (Carlos Morales) Guerra, Rodolfo “Rudy” (Vanessa) Guerra, her husband: Francisco Guerra, along with her grandchildren: David Rivas, Jaylene Ramirez, Andrea and Aryanna Martinez, Aria, Mia and CJ Morales, and sister: Josefa (Gary+) Hartman, many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

The family will be receiving condolences on Friday evening, April 17, 2020 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services, 1410 Jacaman Rd.; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 7 p.m.

During this difficult time, we know how much it means for her friends and our family to pay their respects, but in doing our part in being socially responsible, we will be holding a private funeral service that will be transmitted via Facebook Live on Saturday, April 18, 2020 at 10 a.m.

The procession will depart on Saturday, April 18, 2020 from Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels to Calvary Catholic Cemetery for the Rite of Committal and Interment at the family plot.
