ANGEL DERLY BARRERA

Angel Derly Barrera, age 42, of Laredo, Texas was welcomed into the kingdom of heaven on Friday, April 21^st, 2023.

Angel was a U.S. Customs and Border Protection Agent for over 16 years of dedicated service; first entering the agency in February of 2007. He was an avid sports fan and was passionate about baseball, the Dodgers was his favorite team. He loved spending time with family and friends, but nothing compared to being in the company of his girls, Danna and Regina. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in passing by his beloved father, Alfredo Barrera.

Left to cherish his memory are: his loving wife, Carolina Barrera; his daughters who were his pride and joy, Danna Carolina and Regina Barrera; mother, Albeza S. Barrera; parents-in-law, Juan and Hilda Estrada; sister, Cynthia (Hector) Gonzalez; brother, Alfredo (Veronica) Barrera; nieces and nephews, Hector Alfredo Gonzalez, Jackie Montalvo, Eliza Perez, Cynthia Gonzalez, Jesus Rodriguez, Veronica Yvette Barrera, and Hector Leonardo Gonzalez; as well as numerous extended relatives and friends.

The family will be receiving condolences on Tuesday evening, April 25, 2023 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels & Cremation Services, 1410 Jacaman Rd.; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 7 p.m.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday morning, April 26, 2023 departing at 10:00 a.m. from Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels to Divine Mercy Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11 a.m.

Cremation Services will be held privately by the family at a later date.
