Andrea Martinez

Andrea Trevio Martinez died peacefully at home on Sunday morning, March 02, 2014. She was born in Guerrero, Tamaulipas, Mexico on March 26, 1909 and lived in Laredo, Texas for most of her 104 years of life. Andrea is preceded in death by her husband, Francisco J. Martinez, her father, Jose Maria Trevio, her mother Guadalupe T. Trevio, and her brother, Pedro Trevio. She is survived by her daughter, Ana Laura Martinez-Hoane, son-in-law, Robert A. Hoane; grandchildren, Andrea L. Trevio, Erica L. Trevio, Kaitlin T. Hoane, and Robert A. Hoane Jr.; great-grandchildren, Matthew R. Jones, Jr., and Mason R. Jones; her brother, Humberto Trevio and sister-in-law, Deroza Trevio, as well as her nieces and nephews. Andrea worked at Richter's department store for 70 years where she was much loved and respected. She was a member of Sociedad de Damas de Cristo Rey at Christ the King Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court Isabella the Catholic #683, and was also an auxiliary member at Mercy Hospital. We will always remember that in life Andreita was loved dearly by so many because she gave her love so generously to all. Que en Paz descanses mamasita hermosa, y adios para siempre, adios. The family will receive condolences the evening of Friday the 7th of March 2014 from 5 to 9 in the evening at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels, 719 Loring at Cortez. There will be a rosary offered by the Catholic Daughters at 5 as well as one offered by the church at 7 that evening. Procession will depart the funeral chapel the morning of Saturday the 8th of March 2014 at 9:30 to Christ the King Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in the morning. Pallbearers will be: David J. Trevino, Dennis E. Trevino, Dr. David R. Trevino, Robert A. Hoane, Sr., Matthew R. Jones, Jr., and Robert A. Hoane, Jr. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the family plot at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
