Amelia Martinez

Amelia Martinez, 93, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Wednesday, April 18, 2018.

Amelia retired from Southwestern Bell after many devoted years. She was a dedicated, loving, and nurturing aunt who was a second mother to all of her nieces and nephews. She selflessly dedicated her life to caring for her family and most importantly her parents. Known as everyone’s favorite aunt, she will be greatly missed by everyone who experienced her love and her warmth.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Guadalupe C. & Juanita L. Martinez, Sr.; siblings, Jesus M. Martinez and Esperanza (Matias) Garcia; baby sister, Maria Luisa Martinez; and brothers-in-law, Richard G. Morales, Sr. and Jose M. Azios.

Left to cherish her memory are her beloved siblings: Alicia Morales, Consuelo (Joe) Guerra, G. C. (Graciela) Martinez, Jr., and Beatriz Azios; sister-in-law, Lydia Martinez; as well as by her numerous and adored nieces and nephews.

Our family wishes to extend our appreciation for the love and care provided by Claudia, Crystal, Gloria, and the staff at Altus Hospice Care.
