Mrs. Amanda D. Herrera, 85, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, July 28, 2016.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Guadalupe and Francisca A. Arredondo.

She is survived by her loving husband Reynaldo H. Herrera; children, Yvonne (Larry) Serna, Amanda (Ricardo) Garcia, Reynaldo (Ada) Herrera, Jr., Norma (Luke) Worley, Nora (Raul) Garcia, Cynthia (Ignacio) De la Fuente; grandchildren, Angelina Soderqvist (Ian), Gabrielle Serna, Richelle Garcia, Caesar Garcia, Roman Garcia, Gloria Herrera, Matthew Herrera, Joshua Worley, Benjamin Worley, Isabel Garcia, Sebastian Garcia, Nathaniel De la Fuente, and Aaron De la Fuente. She is also survived by one brother, two sisters, nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends.

The family would like to thank a family friend and caretaker, Esther Martinez, for her compassion, support and tender loving care given to Amanda.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels, 719 Loring at Cortez from 4 to 9 in the evening. A Rosary will be recited at 7 in the evening.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 3, 2016 departing the funeral home at 8:40 a.m. to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m.

Pallbearers will be: Reynaldo Herrera, Jr., Larry Serna, Ricardo Garcia, Luke Worley, Ignacio De la Fuente, Raul Garcia, and Carlos Arredondo, Jr.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
