Mrs. Amalia Nava vda. de Buendia, 100, entered into the eternal rest in the kingdom of heaven on Monday, May 7, 2018 at her residence.

She is preceded in death by her husband: Juan Buendia Alejo; children: Yolanda B. Rocha; grandchildren: Amalia Buendia, Alfredo Buendia; her parents, brothers and sisters.

Left behind to celebrate her life are her children: Rodolfo (Maria) Buendia, Ernestina B. (Emilio) Martinez; grandchildren: Rita M. Buendia, Roberto Buendia, Rodolfo Buendia Jr., Emilio Martinez Jr., Juan Alfonso (Judy) Rocha, Maria Elena (Ricardo) Sandoval, Sharon Buendia; great-grandchildren: Esmeralda Sandoval, Ricardo (Valerie) Sandoval Jr., Maria Elena (Juan Carlos Verdiguel) Sandoval, Priscilla (Juan Navarro) Sandoval; 11 great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive condolences on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapel, 719 Loring at Cortez from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.

Funeral procession will depart at 9:40 a.m. from the funeral chapel on Wednesday, May 8, 2018 to Christ the King Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.

Rite of Committal and Interment will continue to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Emilio Martinez Sr., Emilio Martinez Jr., Ricardo Sandoval, Rodolfo Buendia Sr., Roberto Buendia and Juan Navarro.
