Edwin "Ed" Vivian, 88 years of age, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and Friend, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, July 10, 2013. He was also known as Paw-Paw to all his grandchildren. Edwin was born Carrizo Springs, TX, lived some of his life in Corpus Christi, where he met his sweetheart and future wife Betty Hurst. They then moved to Raymondville and finally Laredo. Their marriage of 64 wonderful years was blessed with two children who he adored, two grandchildren who he doted on and two great grandchildren, who were his pride and joy.
His life was dedicated to his kids, wife and grandchildren, but more than anything he was a devoted long-time Rancher. That is all he knew all his life. He worked for the late Ben Vaughn Jr. then Ben Vaughn III for 62 years. HE spent his life working cattle, riding horses and keeping up Ranches all over South Texas. He is truly one of the last TRUE Cowboys Texas has ever known.
Edwin was passionate about many things, but was the happiest when he was with his family at the ranch or at home. He had a strong and loving personality, a beautiful smile, and a twinkle in his eyes that allowed everyone to see into his soul. He was a man of honor and integrity and had a heart of gold. He was full of life, mischief, and laughter. Edwin remains the light and love of our lives and his passing has left a void in the hearts of all those who ever knew and loved him. He is, and will forever be, dearly missed.
Edwin was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, son Alvin Edwin Vivian Jr. and wife Betty Vivian.
He is survived by his daughter Sandy Vivian, Granddaughters Jennifer Brundige and husband Jamie Brundige and Megan Jonas and husband; great grandchildren Jamie Brundige Jr., Brice Brundige, Julia Brundige and Samantha Jonas.
