Aloysius A. Miller, 82, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2011 in his home surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Miller served his country in the U.S. Air Force and fought in the Korean Conflict in the 1950's. Upon his return from the military, Al followed his passion for farming.-He dedicated himself to the family business El Rio Farm. He shared his passion for farming with many students, partnering with local schools, and hosting them on the family farm. Aloysius was a board member of the Webb County Farm & Ranch Bureau and an active member of the local 4-H Club.

Aloysius was preceded in death by his son Paul Gerard Miller; as well as his brothers, William Miller and George Miller.

Mr. Miller is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Mary Hein Miller; his sons, Ernest Patrick (Margie) Miller, Ronald William (Martha) Miller, Henry Anthony (Lisa) Miller, Aloys John (Kathy) Miller; grandchildren, Dr. Ernest P. Miller, Mark A. Miller, Paul G. Miller, Martha V. Miller, Ronald W. Miller II, Elizabeth N. Miller, Andrew J. Miller, Brian A. Miller, Alyson J. Miller, Katelyn J. Miller, A. John Miller III; sister, Mary Ann (Les) Thompson of Tennessee; sisters-in-law, Betty Miller of Omaha, Nebraska, and Pat Miller of Lincoln, Nebraska.

The family would like to thank Dr. Isaias Garza, the staff of Nurses on Wheels, and Raquel Estrada for providing him with their utmost care.

And to his caretakers who were so loving to him, Delfina Osorio and Lydia Osorio; May God Bless You and always keep you in his Love.
