Alma C. Jaime, 79, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Friday, December 31, 2010.
Alma was an exemplary wife and mother whose loving and supportive nature was instilled in her children at a very young age. She was notably fond and immensely proud of infusing education into her daughters, whom have also become teachers, so that they may also educate the young minds in our community. Alma had a passion for cooking and baking and held a deep appreciation for dancing. She even went on to become a Madrina of the Golden Spurs in 1995. Alma also had a penchant for traveling, especially to Vegas; she also enjoyed her occasional trips to Little Vegas in Laredo. Her radiant warmth and kind spirit will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years, Manuel A. Jaime; parents, Fernando and San Juanita Cruz; and siblings, Consuelo Gallegos, Angelita C. Farmer, and Fernando Jr., Reymundo and Luis Cruz.
Alma is survived by her loving daughters, Linda (Rolando) Gonzalez, Patricia (Arnoldo) Ramirez, Diana A. Jaime, Norma G. (Herbert) Anaya and Elsa L. Jaime; adored grandchildren Celina (Raul) Solano, Anali and Christina Gonzalez, Jaime (Norma) and Cory Rose Ramirez, Andres M. and Christa M. Anaya, and Erika L., Jaimie L., and Cesar T. Ochoa, Jr.; and sister Gloria C. Best (Herb). She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
