ALFREDO MONCIVAIS

October 10, 1947 - December 30, 2015

Mr. Alfredo Moncivais, 68, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, December 30, 2015.

Mr. Alfredo Moncivais was born on October 10, 1947 in Laredo, Texas to parents, Guadalupe and Trinidad C. Moncivais.

Alfredo was a proud member of the Armed Forces, who served in the US Army from 1967 to 1970, during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged in Da-Nang as a disabled American Veteran. He will be forever missed.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Trinidad Moncivais and grandchildren Angel Bustos, Alicia Bustos and Cecilia Bustos.

He is survived by his loving wife Irma Alicia Moncivais; his children Veronica (Javier) Bustos, Jessica (Juan Jose) Colunga, Alfredo (Linda) Moncivais, Jr., David (Adriana) Moncivais and Monica (Abraham) Torres; eleven grandchildren; his father: Guadalupe Moncivais; siblings Diana (Roberto) Mancha, Delia (Jesus) Espindola, San Juanita (Armando) Garcia, Imelda (Arturo) Contreras, Guadalupe Moncivais, Jr. , Raquel (Inocente) Sanchez, Ruben (Rosalinda) Moncivais and Alicia (Juan) Zavala; as well numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many beloved friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, January 1, 2016 at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels, 719 Loring at Cortez from 4 to 9 in the evening. A Rosary will be held at 7 in the evening.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 2, 2016 departing the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. to San Vicente de Paul Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Alfredo Moncivais Jr., David Moncivais, Javier Bustos, Juan Jose Colunga, Abraham Torres, Alfredo Moncivais III, David Moncivais Jr. and Juan Jose Colunga Jr.

Rite of Committal and Interment with Military Honors will follow at the Laredo City Cemetery-Veteran's Section.
