Alfredo Ballesteros, 88, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Monday, March 31, 2025.

Alfredo Ballesteros, a man of great dedication and passion, passed away leaving behind a legacy of service, love, and joy. Alfredo proudly served as a Law Enforcement Communications Assistant (LECA) for the United States Border Patrol- Laredo Sector for 34 years, after also dedicating two years of service to the United States Army. His commitment to his country extended further when he worked as a policeman at the Laredo Air Force Base, where he continued to serve with pride.

Alfredo was a man of many interests and hobbies. He had a deep love for nature, often spending time at the ranch, where he enjoyed hunting for arrowheads and connecting with the land. He found great joy in simple pleasures, such as feeding the pigeons, tending to his plants, and playing his accordion. Family and friends knew Alfredo for his warmth, generosity, and love for life’s little joys.

He was especially fond of his nephews, Ricky and Albert Ballesteros, and Rogelio Paredes, whom he considered his pride and joy. Alfredo cherished spending time with them, particularly during cookouts at their home, where he loved to eat and share stories. His many friends remember him fondly for his kind heart, infectious smile, and the laughter he brought into every room.

Alfredo’s life was marked by a deep sense of loyalty, love, and dedication to his family, friends, and country. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Teresa Linares Ballesteros; his parents, Juan and Olivia Ballesteros; his siblings, Beatriz Valdez, Juan Jose Ballesteros, and Gerardo Ballesteros; his nephews, Sammy Luna, and Lee Roy McCallister, Jr.

Left to cherish his memory are his siblings, Juanita († Rodolfo) Luna, Guadalupe (Lee) McCallister, and Ricardo (Maria de Consuelo) Ballesteros; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and friends.
